Creese Cheam Mixtapes – Vol. 4 – Mudy Stix (study mix)

Here is the latest installment of Creese Cheam Mixtapes.   A request from a very dear friend of mine showed up in my letterbox a few days ago.  The letter read “Dear Cam, those were some fresh tracks you laid in the snow on your last mixtape.  The energy and sheer excitement I received in my ear bones from the intricately placed songs helped me to get my coursework completed at breakneck speed indeed….etc“.  Anyways, this amigo requested a mix that would carry on where the last one left off replicating the higher energy tracks off of Creese Cheam Vol. 3.  Well here it is friend.  The supply and demand graphs will be artistically drawn out to perfection in your thesis while you listen to “Mudy Stix”, the study mix.  Happy Thanksgiving.

Strawberry Butt Track

This new number off of Young Knives new album “Sick Octave” is completely radical. “Something Awful” sounds a bit crazy really, but the post rock groove infused with British vocals that resemble The Black Angels singer works properly. I dig.

After The Beep: A Compilation recorded on phones (Various Artists)

after the beep
“I’ve been thinking, if a song is great you could record it on a walkman, or whatever is laying around and the soul of that great song will be communicated. It doesn’t matter what kind of paper a great book is printed on as long as you can read it. That,s the analogy I always use. Anyway, all these songs were recorded on cell phones and nothing else. I have many very talented music maker friends, so thanks to them for participating. Please share with your friends and thanks for stopping by! Also, special thanks to Dog On Fire for making the artwork. “” –Chris Staples

released 12 November 2013

This is really great fall music.  Very minimal.  Feels like you’re sitting next to the musician on the floor while they play you their newest song.  Very cool concept.  Chris Staples is a nice dude.  Share with your friends.  Record with your friends.  I’ll bring my drums if you’ll bring your guitar.  We won’t need much in this backyard.   It’s free on Bandcamp >>>here<<<
